Microneedling treatment involves the use of very small needles to poke tiny holes in the skin’s surface (microinjuries) to induce the skin's natural wound healing process. These microinjuries stimulate the body to rebuild collagen and elastin which are crucial proteins that we all begin to lose as early as our mid twenties. Stimulation of collagen and elastin production keeps the skin strong, healthy, and radiant. Healed skin results in visible improvement and rejuvenation, making microneedling highly effective in reversing the effects of aging and sun damage on the skin. Microneedling is minimally invasive with minimal downtime. Treatment is safe for all skin tones and in addition to anti-aging benefits, microneedling can be used to treat facial acne scars as well as improve the appearance of surgical or traumatic hypertrophic scars on the abdomen in adults ages 22 years and older. Treatments can be performed as a stand alone skincare regimen or in combination with HydraFacial to not only treat active skin conditions, but also PREVENT premature aging. Microneedling is recommended to complete at least 3 sessions 4-6 weeks apart.
